Industrial Project ManagerHDR is looking for an Industrial Project Manager with experience supporting Industrial sector clients and projects in the Southeast. This position will be located in either HDR's Charleston or Greenville office, supporting a growing Industrial market sector in manufacturing. They may also support clients and projects in agribusiness, food and beverage, oil and gas, mining, and aggregates industries.
Primary responsibilities for this position will include project leadership, management of multidisciplinary teams, as well as understanding of scope of work, schedule, and budget. This individual should be familiar with engineering disciplines involved on manufacturing and industrial projects, as well as implementation of QAQC procedures. This role also requires client interaction (from pre-positioning for the work, proposal development, through project completion) and strong verbal and written communication skills as needed for regular interaction with internal staff such as project team members, marketing staff, and operations leadership.
They will also work closely with South Carolina leadership, as well as our Advanced Manufacturing Practice. On a day-to-day basis, the Industrial Project Manager will also be expected to:Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project's lifecycle (from development and initiation to close-out)Be responsible for all aspects of complex small to medium projects or routine large projectsProduce and coordinate several small to medium projects concurrentlyEstablish and maintain client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetingsConduct work sessions for deliverable development in conjunction with other staff and stakeholdersCoordinate staffing and workload through entire project life cycle, and ensure completion of deliverables on scheduleTrack financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and scheduleWork with the Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviewsImplement QA/QC proceduresPerform other duties as neededPreferred Qualifications:Master's degreePMP certificationExperience managing engineering projects for Advanced Manufacturing industryLocal candidates are preferredRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in related field7 years related experienceA minimum of 2 years project management experienceMust have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skillsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustHDR is committed to the principles of employment equity.
