Industrial Maintenance Technician Job Summary:

We are seeking a hands-on Industrial Maintenance Technician with both electrical and mechanical maintenance experience to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair manufacturing equipment.

This position works on industrial production machinery, not vehicles.

This is also not a supervisory position and has no direct reports.

We are looking for someone who can troubleshoot an electrical problem with a multimeter and then grab their tools to complete the mechanical repair.

Industrial Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial manufacturing equipment and production machinery.
  • Diagnosing electrical and mechanical equipment failures.
  • Perform hands-on mechanical repairs.
  • Troubleshoot motors, sensors, switches, relays, contactors, wiring, and other electrical components.
  • Use multimeters and other diagnostic tools to identify electrical problems.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and safely restore equipment to operation.
  • Troubleshoot recurring equipment problems and identify root causes.
  • Repair and replace bearings, belts, chains, rollers, gears, motors, shafts, and other mechanical components.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Assist with equipment installations, adjustments, modifications, and improvements.
  • Inspect machinery for wear and potential failures.
  • Complete maintenance work orders and documentation.
  • Follow lockout/tagout and all required safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Industrial Maintenance Technician Required Qualifications:

  • Previous hands-on experience maintaining and repairing industrial or manufacturing equipment.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • Industrial electrical troubleshooting experience.
  • Ability to use a multimeter and electrical diagnostic tool.
  • Experience troubleshooting motors, sensors, relays, switches, wiring, and electrical components.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and equipment manuals.
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to determine whether an equipment failure is electrical, mechanical, or both.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong safety awareness.
  • Ability to work the full rotating day, night, and split-shift schedule Monday through Saturday.

Industrial Maintenance Technician Knowledge & Experience:

  • PLC troubleshooting
  • VFDs
  • HMIs
  • Automated manufacturing equipment
  • Hydraulics & Pneumatics
  • Welding or fabrication
  • Preventive maintenance programs
  • CMMS experience
  • Industrial maintenance, electrical, or technical training

Work Environment:

This position works in a manufacturing and warehouse environment around industrial production equipment.

The position may require standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, lifting, and working around operating machinery.

Pay & Schedule:

  • $27.00–$28.50 per hour
  • 6-Week Rotating Shift | Monday – Friday and Weekends During 2-week Split Shift
    • 2 weeks – Day Shift
    • 2 weeks – Night Shift
    • 2 weeks – Split Shift
    • Rotation then repeats
