As the shop's Industrial Maintenance Technician, you'll report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and be the person who keeps that equipment running - tracking down the root cause of a malfunction, tearing a machine down to get at the problem, and getting it back into production. It's a broad, hands-on role across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, not just one machine type.
What You'll Be Doing
- Observe equipment in operation to locate the root cause of a malfunction
- Dismantle machines to access and remove defective parts
- Examine failed parts to determine the cause of failure
- Adjust and repair functional parts of machines and control instruments
- Test repaired machines to confirm proper performance
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuitry and mechanical systems
- Recondition and repair machining tools
- Maintain equipment on a predictive and preventative maintenance schedule
Machines & Controls
The shop runs Fanuc-controlled CNC equipment alongside EDM, laser, and grinding processes. Familiarity with lathes, mill-turn, 3- and 4/5-axis milling, or wire EDM equipment is a plus, since you'll be maintaining a mix of conventional and non-conventional machining equipment.
What We're Looking For
Required
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance or equivalent hands-on experience
- Troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Welding experience (ARC, MIG, TIG)
- Experience maintaining CNC or precision machining equipment
- Comfortable reconditioning and repairing machining tools
- English language proficiency
- Able to meet U.S. person / ITAR work-authorization requirements - Hi-Tek is ITAR-registered and works directly with DoD and aerospace OEM customers
Preferred
- Fanuc controls experience
- Exposure to lathe, mill-turn, 3- and 4/5-axis milling, or wire EDM equipment
Pay, Benefits & Schedule
$30-$36 per hour, based on experience. Full-time, on-site in Mason, Ohio. Relocation assistance is not offered for this role.
