You'll partner closely with Operations leadership, evaluate new automation and technology, and play a key role in designing and launching new facilities as Nellis Auction continues to expand.If you're an engineer who loves getting hands-on with real operational challenges — not just theoretical ones — and you want a seat at the table as we open new locations and scale our business, this role was built for you.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and improve operations by assessing existing processes and systems, conducting time and motion studies, process flow analysis, and value stream mapping to identify efficiency gains and cost savingsChampion safety and ergonomics by researching best practices relevant to our facilities and bringing clear recommendations to ManagementPlan and optimize the workforce by developing staffing models based on labor requirements, skill sets, and capacity planningTurn data into decisions by collecting and analyzing operational metrics — production rates, cycle times, resource utilization — using statistical tools to generate insights for business leadersDrive cost savings through cost-benefit analyses and financial evaluations, developing strategies that reduce costs while maintaining or improving qualityLead cross-functional projects, coordinating timelines, resources, and deliverables to implement process improvements and support the launch of new Nellis Auction locationsDesign facility layouts for equipment, materials, and workspace to maximize efficiency across warehouse and order fulfillment operationsShape new facility launches by working directly with launch teams to optimize operational design from day oneSupport capital planning by helping develop capital improvement projects and budgets, including ROI calculationsProvide technical support to Maintenance, Operations, and IT teams during downtime events or technical deploymentsGuide expansion planning by partnering with Senior Operations Leadership to understand the operational impact of future growthVet employee-driven improvement ideas from across our warehouse locations, establishing clear paths to pilot or deploy the best onesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field strongly preferredExperience with automation and industrial equipment (racking, forklifts, conveyors, robotics)Experience with operations and distribution planningProficiency in CAD and the MS Office Suite; advanced Excel skills, plus MS Access and/or Visio preferredAbility to travel frequently, up to 50% at timesBilingual in Spanish a plusStrong critical thinking, active listening, and sound decision-making skillsExcellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslySolid understanding of operations, warehousing, and logisticsComfort with a physically active, hands-on roleWhy You'll Love Working HereReal impact, fast.
