Job Title: Individual Tax Analyst

Pay range: $40 – 42.67/hr

Duration: 6 months

Job Description:

• We are seeking a detail-oriented Individual Tax Analyst with strong foundational knowledge of U.S. Federal and State tax laws.
• This role focuses exclusively on individual income tax (not business tax) and supports the TurboTax platform by analyzing and updating tax laws for upcoming tax years.
• The ideal candidate will research and interpret tax law changes, collaborate with programmers to implement updates, and assist with testing to ensure accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Research and analyze changes in Federal and State individual tax laws.
• Update tax content and provide guidance to programming teams.
• Assist in testing and validating changes to ensure accurate tax calculations.
• Collaborate with tax analysts and developers to define tax flow and logic.
• Ensure tax forms and help content reflect correct and current requirements.
• Perform calculations and validations in Excel.

Requirements:

• Must have experience filing individual tax returns (not business tax).
• Must have direct experience with tax filing and content analysis.
• Experience with tax software (TurboTax, Drake, Thomson Reuters, etc.).
• Strong understanding of AGI, standard deductions, itemized deductions.
• Experience preparing multi-state tax returns.
• High technical acumen; comfortable using technology.
• Proficiency in Excel is required.
• Experience researching tax laws and codes is strongly preferred.
• Coding experience is a plus but not required.

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work with TurboTax, Drake Software, or Thomson Reuters.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (analysts, developers).
