Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) Consultant - Locals Only

A Public Sector client is seeking an Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) Consultant for an ongoing project in Atlanta, GA.

Required Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of IT project management experience, supporting large, complex initiatives.
• At least 5 years providing IV&V or similar quality assurance services.
• Experience with high-visibility, politically sensitive projects in public or regulated sectors.
• Knowledge of project management frameworks (e.g., PMI’s PMBOK), risk management, and quality assurance.
• Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
• Ability to prepare professional reports and briefings.
• Capability to assess project health and suggest solutions.

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in IT, Business, or related field (required).
• PMP certification (preferred).
• Additional certifications like CSM or CQA are a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Perform IV&V activities, assessing project health, deliverables, and compliance.
• Review project documents such as charters, plans, schedules, and contracts.
• Evaluate deliverables for quality and completeness.
• Identify risks and issues early, recommending mitigations.
• Monitor project progress against scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Develop and deliver IV&V Service Plans, Monthly Reports, and Assessments.
• Maintain risk and issue logs with mitigation strategies.
• Provide executive briefings as needed.
• Prepare final IV&V reports at project closeout.
• Collaborate with project teams while maintaining independence.
• Ensure documentation meets standards and templates.

This role is open to W2 or 1099/C2C candidates with US work authorization. H1B transfer candidates are encouraged to apply.
