Income Tax AttorneySmoker & Company LLC is seeking an experienced Income Tax Attorney with approximately 3–5+ years of relevant income tax experience to advise individuals, closely held businesses, and business owners on federal, state, and local income tax matters. This role focuses on income tax planning, compliance support, legal research, tax notices, audits, appeals, collections, and other tax controversy matters, with particular emphasis on pass-through entities, including S-Corporations and LLCs, as well as state and local tax issues. The Income Tax Attorney will work closely with internal accounting, tax preparation, advisory, and leadership teams to provide practical legal guidance, identify tax risks and opportunities, and help clients navigate complex income tax issues with confidence.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented legal professional with strong income tax technical knowledge, sound judgment, excellent communication skills, and a client-service mindset.
