Incineration Lead Operator - Thermal Destruction Department

Incineration LeadSibanye-Stillwater is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Incineration Lead to support operations within the Thermal Destruction Department. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily incineration activities, supporting operators, monitoring equipment and production processes, and helping ensure all production, environmental, quality, and safety standards are consistently met in an industrial environment.Ready to Make an Impact If you take pride in leadership, operational excellence, and maintaining safe and efficient processes, this role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to reliable production and responsible material processing while helping guide and support the team.What You Will DoLead and support daily incineration operations within the Thermal Destruction DepartmentOperate incinerator equipment and assist with troubleshooting and minor maintenance as neededSupport training and day to day guidance of operators and department personnelRecord before and after weights of material lots processed through the equipmentReview startup checklists to ensure equipment and systems are operating properlyRecord operational temperatures hourly and maintain accurate production logsMonitor the condition of the incinerator, boiler, baghouse, and scrubber systemsObserve equipment during operation and identify irregularities, malfunctions, or safety concernsHelp coordinate workflow to support production schedules and operational targetsMaintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with company proceduresAccurately enter production and operational data into tracking systemsCommunicate operational issues and maintenance needs to leadership as appropriateWhat You BringHigh school diploma or GED requiredPrevious leadership, lead, or senior operator experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment preferredPrevious experience operating industrial equipment, incinerators, boilers, drying ovens, or similar machinery preferredStrong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast paced environmentSolid math and data entry skills requiredStrong communication and team leadership abilitiesProven commitment to safety and adherence to operating proceduresReliable transportation required due to limited public transportation accessPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing 50 to 100 pounds throughout the workdayAbility to work in industrial conditions including exposure to dirt, odors, noise, heat, and weather extremesAbility to stand, walk, bend, and work around industrial equipment for extended periodsSchedule & Benefits1st Shift: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, onsite in Fairless HillsCompetitive pay and comprehensive benefits401(k) with company matchPaid holidays, vacation, sick time, personal holiday, and community daysStable, mission-driven organizationCompliance RequirementsMust meet ITAR and NAID eligibility requirementsAbility to pass background screening and pre-employment drug testingApply today and help us support safe operations, production quality, and a more sustainable future.
