Data Scientist Primary Location : Indianapolis, IN V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Data Scientist for our premier client in Indianapolis, IN. Education and Experience:
  • Master's degree in data science, analytics, informatics, computer science, mathematics, engineering, or related field; OR.... 4 Years
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 2+ years of relevant experience; or 4+ years of hands-on experience in a similar data engineering role; OR.. 4 Years
  • Relevant certifications and coursework may substitute for formal education/experience requirements 4 Years
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Participates in project activities such as requirements gathering, solution reviews, and explaining technical complexities to non-technical personnel
  • Work closely with the solution leads, project managers, data architects, data scientists, and data analysts on solution design, architecture, and implementation
  • Assists with extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using various data engineering tools and methods.
  • Designs, builds, and maintains batch and streaming data pipelines in Azure Databricks using Py Spark, Spark SQL, and Delta Lake, following a medallion (bronze/silver/gold) lake house architecture
WHAT YOU’LL DO: Job Responsibilities:
  • Develops, loads, and tunes dimensional data models and SQL workloads in Azure Synapse Analytics (dedicated and serverless SQL pools) to support reporting and dashboard needs
  • Orchestrates and monitors data workflows using Databricks Workflows/Jobs and Synapse or Azure Data Factory pipelines, including scheduling, alerting, and failure recovery
