Job Title: In-House Counsel

Salary: $145K-$155K
About the Company / The Opportunity:
Join a growing company in the construction industry and play a key role in supporting its legal and commercial needs. As the second U.S.-based attorney, you will establish and lead legal operations, strengthen contract governance, and provide practical legal guidance across a complex industrial business.
Responsibilities:
- Build and manage legal operations.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage vendor, procurement, and customer agreements.
- Develop contract templates, negotiation playbooks, and governance standards.
- Partner with operations, commercial, finance, supply chain, compliance, and leadership to provide timely, practical legal guidance.
- Manage external counsel as needed.
Must-Have Skills:
- Juris Doctor degree.
- Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, with eligibility to register as in-house counsel in Arizona.
- 2+ years of experience in commercial contracts, legal operations, and corporate law.
- Strong commercial contract drafting, review, and negotiation experience.
- Experience developing legal processes, governance models, templates, playbooks, or operational improvements.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Arizona or California bar admission.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills.
- Experience supporting an in-house corporate legal department.
- Background in construction or industrial sectors.
- Knowledge of corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in a small team or start-up environment.
