Xu Law Group is hiring an Immigration Paralegal!
We are not your average law firm.
We work with foreign geniuses , founders, artists, scientists, magicians, rebel coders, obscure royalties, visionaries, healers, misfits - people trying to build, create, and perform at the edge of possibility. Our clients are the kind of people you’ll want to root for. And they need a paralegal who gets them.
You’re probably our person if:
- You see typos in street signs and feel personally attacked.
- You obsess over organizing files like Marie Kondo.
- You can spot patterns, map workflows, and break down messy chaos into beautiful, glorious checklists (just kidding, we don’t use checklists, we built in-house softwares for that).
- You know that behind every successful petition is a story told well and organized clean.
- You like tech. You like people. You like making hard things easier.
- You don’t want to be micromanaged - you want to be trusted. And grown.
- You’re not afraid to ask “Why do we do it this way?” and then make it better.
- You’re fast, precise, and a little obsessive.
What you’ll actually do:
- Work directly with immigration attorneys to craft unique, narrative driven, but highly technical O-1, EB1A, and NIW petitions (the kind that win, not bore).
- Research groundbreaking work across industries - quantum physics, tattoo artistry, AI, climate science, circus acrobatics - no two days will look the same.
- Dive into national policy frameworks, global standards, and field benchmarks to support our arguments with substance and edge.
- Interview clients and pull gold from their past work, no matter how technical or niche.
- Use and help improve our in-house AI software (yes, we actually made our own, and it’s ridiculously good).
- Share feedback with our tech team to shape the future of our internal AI tools. You’ll be part of the system - and part of reinventing it.
- Occasionally roll up your sleeves and figure out how to do something you’ve never done before. (We do that a lot.)
- Have 1–3+ years of immigration experience (extraordinary ability = major bonus)
- Read and write voraciously
- Are neurospicy, and need to learn something new to stay alive
- Have worked in fast-paced law firms, agencies, or tech startups
- Speak another language
- Have the focus of a competitive esports champion , but with the emotional reliability of someone who refills the Brita without being asked.
- Are wildly curious, strangely meticulous, and probably have at least one niche obsession no one else understands (but we want to hear about it).
