Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney to independently manage a caseload and take ownership of case strategy, client relationships, and workflow. The attorney will handle a broad range of family based, employment based, and humanitarian immigration matters while working with paralegal and intake support.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee an independent immigration caseload
- Establish case acceptance and workflow standards
- Handle Adjustment of Status, N 400, PERM, H 1B, and other nonimmigrant petitions
- Handle removal defense matters
- Manage USCIS follow up, including RFEs, expedites, and congressional inquiries
- Communicate directly with clients and provide case strategy and guidance
- Review and supervise case preparation and filings
- Maintain high standards for accuracy, compliance, and client service
Requirements
- 5+ years of immigration law experience
- Substantial experience serving as attorney of record
- Licensed and in good standing with the Illinois Bar
- Ability to independently manage a caseload and make case strategy decisions
- Strong client communication and case management skills
- Spanish, Ukrainian, Russian, or Polish fluency is a plus
