Immigration Attorney

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney to independently manage a caseload and take ownership of case strategy, client relationships, and workflow. The attorney will handle a broad range of family based, employment based, and humanitarian immigration matters while working with paralegal and intake support.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee an independent immigration caseload
• Establish case acceptance and workflow standards
• Handle Adjustment of Status, N 400, PERM, H 1B, and other nonimmigrant petitions
• Handle removal defense matters
• Manage USCIS follow up, including RFEs, expedites, and congressional inquiries
• Communicate directly with clients and provide case strategy and guidance
• Review and supervise case preparation and filings
• Maintain high standards for accuracy, compliance, and client service

Requirements

• 5+ years of immigration law experience
• Substantial experience serving as attorney of record
• Licensed and in good standing with the Illinois Bar
• Ability to independently manage a caseload and make case strategy decisions
• Strong client communication and case management skills
• Spanish, Ukrainian, Russian, or Polish fluency is a plus
