Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in immigration court (EOIR), including removal proceedings and bond hearings.
- Represent clients during USCIS interviews and other immigration-related proceedings.
- Develop effective case strategies and prepare applications, motions, briefs, appeals, and other legal documents.
- Conduct client consultations and maintain clear, timely communication throughout each matter.
- Manage a diverse caseload while ensuring deadlines and filing requirements are met.
- Conduct legal research and provide thorough legal analysis.
- Collaborate with legal assistants, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
- Participate in community outreach, legal education workshops, and pro bono initiatives as needed.
- Maintain a professional, compassionate, and client-focused approach to legal representation.
- J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school.
- Active license and good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
- Minimum of 2 years of immigration law experience.
- Experience with removal defense or family-based immigration is strongly preferred.
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, client-focused legal representation.
- Spanish fluency is strongly required.
- Experience with law review, immigration clinics, or trial advocacy is a plus.
