Overview
The Cardiac Sonographer Lead partners closely with the manager to provide day-to-day leadership and support for the team. The Cardiac Sonographer Lead partners closely with the manager to provide day-to-day leadership and support for the team. The Lead promotes high-quality patient care, supports staff development and accountability, assists with operational and clinical excellence, and helps ensure the team delivers on the promise of exceptional patient-centered care.
Schedule
- Four 10-hour shifts per week
- 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Typically, Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday
Additional Requirements
- Participation in the call rotation
- Weekend coverage as needed based on staffing availability
- Holiday coverage as needed based on staffing availability
Plans the workflow and employee distributions within the department. Provides various lead functions within the Non-Invasive Echocardiography department while providing functional guidance to staff. Ensures staff interacts with patients and others in a positive manner and are competent to care for patients from pediatric through geriatric. Success is accomplished by promoting a team-oriented and service conscious environment.
- Requires 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
- Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
- Requires active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R) through the American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT).
