Imaging Scheduler- Internal

Cancer Specialists of North Florida is recruiting for an experienced Imaging Scheduler- Internal for our busy Central Business Office. This is not a remote position. The Imaging Scheduler is responsible for scheduling patient imaging tests in an efficient and timely manner. Answers incoming calls and directs calls to appropriate personnel. Serves as a liaison between the patient and medical staff. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

• Demonstrates an understanding of patient confidentiality to protect the patient and clinic/corporation.
• Monitors and completes incoming orders throughout the work day.
• Confirms, cancels and/or reschedules patient appointments as needed.
• Documents the patient's account of any pertinent information relating to imaging testing and authorizations.
• Answers incoming calls from patients and practices and responds to emails from practices.
• Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and professionally with patients, office personnel and providers.
• Obtains previous studies for comparison which would include reports and disk images.
• All other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum one year of imaging scheduling experience in a medical setting.
