About the Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated Lab Technician to support an imaging and engineering laboratory focused on the development and improvement of medical products. This role will involve operating industrial imaging equipment, assisting with imaging data analysis, documenting results, and supporting laboratory and engineering projects.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hands-on, adaptable, and eager to learn new technologies in a dynamic laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the operation of industrial computed tomography (CT) scanners and other imaging technologies.
- Support imaging data acquisition, analysis, and basic post-processing activities.
- Develop proficiency with imaging systems, acquisition techniques, and analysis methods.
- Use imaging and data-processing software such as Volume Graphics, Geomagic, Mimics, or similar platforms.
- Assist with documenting analysis findings and preparing technical reports.
- Support laboratory operations and engineering projects as assigned.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve laboratory processes and team efficiency.
- Follow established work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- Perform hands-on technical tasks, including creating, modifying, and assembling custom fixtures for imaging activities.
- Use precision hand tools and light fabrication equipment as needed.
- Manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, quality, and safety.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Science or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a team.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new technologies and skills.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating precision imaging equipment, industrial machinery, or laboratory equipment.
- Experience working in a laboratory, manufacturing, engineering, or prototype development environment.
- Experience with CAD software or digital model review tools.
- Technical education, certifications, or relevant experience in imaging, manufacturing, engineering, or laboratory operations.
- Familiarity with imaging analysis or post-processing software.
