Illinois Licensed Pre-Anesthesia RN

To ensure all pre-anesthesia requirements are fulfilled for surgical patients, the full-time Illinois Licensed Pre-Anesthesia RN will manage patient assessments, provide education, and act as an advocate throughout the pre-surgical process in an onsite role. Key responsibilities Ensure completion of pre-anesthesia requirements and maintain communication with surgical teams and patients Perform assessments, including medication reconciliation and health history reviews, prior to surgical procedures Conduct Pre-Day calls to reinforce dietary instructions and answer patient inquiries regarding anesthesia and surgery Required qualifications Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) in Illinois College Diploma in Nursing Experience in nursing, particularly in pre-anesthesia or surgical settings Knowledge of anesthesia protocols, medications, and contraindications Ability to work collaboratively with surgical teams and patients
