To support a busy Medical Oncology Unit, the full-time Illinois Licensed Oncology RN will provide comprehensive patient care, including administering chemotherapy and biotherapy, while working day shifts from 7 AM to 7:30 PM and fulfilling weekend and holiday requirements every third weekend and every other major holiday. Key responsibilities Conduct initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on patient and family needs Administer medications, perform nursing interventions, and maintain accurate documentation of care provided Provide emotional support to patients and families while ensuring safety and reporting any hazards or incidents Required qualifications Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) in Illinois Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days from the American Heart Association College Diploma in Nursing Experience in oncology nursing and familiarity with chemotherapy and biotherapy administration Commitment to ongoing professional development and departmental competencies
