Overseeing the coordination of accurate and compliant coding, the full-time Illinois Licensed Lead Coding Specialist will ensure adherence to established ICD codes and CPT/HCPCS guidelines while maintaining coding quality and productivity standards in a remote capacity. Key responsibilities Manage and coordinate coding processes to ensure compliance with coding guidelines and payer policies Serve as the coding expert for the revenue cycle division and provide support to facility departments Complete special projects as assigned and provide backup to all revenue cycle coding positions Required qualifications Associate degree in a relevant field CPC, RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification Minimum of 1 year experience in outpatient or inpatient coding Proficient in Microsoft software and strong analytical skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
