Ignition DeveloperLooking for someone skilled in deploying and crafting SCADA/HMI platforms—specifically using Ignition®—to operate within environments involving PLCs, industrial equipment, and on-site systems. This is a hands-on role that merges automation expertise with collaborative engineering work. You'll participate across the full lifecycle of industrial projects, from early-stage concepts and interface development through final system commissioning and testing. The work may occasionally require travel or availability for on-call technical support, depending on current project demands.Primary FunctionsConstruct responsive operator dashboards and visualization tools aligned with real-time industrial dataDevelop and implement Ignition-driven solutions tailored to automated control systemsLink SCADA interfaces to control hardware (e.g., PLCs, databases, sensors, networks)Refine, debug, and scale existing Ignition applications to ensure system reliability and performanceContribute to customer site commissioning and factory/site acceptance testing (FAT/SAT)Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and end users to confirm project expectations are fulfilledProduce training materials, conduct handovers, and document platform configuration detailsTechnical & Professional Background3+ years spent configuring and deploying Ignition® HMI/SCADA environments in automation contextsPractical understanding of industrial, not IT-focused, automation systemsExperience bridging Ignition with common PLC brands (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.)Effective at diagnosing and resolving SCADA/control system challengesClear communication and teamwork strengths for navigating customer interactions and task managementNice to Have / Preferred CredentialsAcademic training in engineering or related technology fields (Associate's or higher welcome)Recognized certifications in Ignition (Gold Cert or module-specific like Perspective/Scripting/Reporting)Coding capability with Python, SQL, or similar scripting toolsFamiliar with protocols like OPC UA, Ethernet/IP, ModbusPrior engagement in FAT/SAT activities and supporting client-facing technical exchangesOpportunities & EnvironmentThis role brings exposure to a wide variety of disciplines—collaborate with mechanical and project engineering groups, get hands-on with controls integration, and take part in delivering end-to-end automation systems.
