Position Overview
The ICU RN provides high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients through assessment, coordination, and evidence-based interventions. Working closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, the RN plays a vital role in achieving optimal outcomes while maintaining the hospitals standard of excellence and commitment to compassionate care.
This role requires clinical expertise, critical thinking, and a calm, confident presence in high-pressure situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care consistent with ICU standards and the organizations mission and values.
- Monitor and assess patients conditions, identifying and reporting any changes promptly.
- Perform procedures and provide treatments as ordered by medical providers.
- Document care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and recovery steps ensuring understanding through clear communication.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized, evidence-based plans of care that promote recovery and quality outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
Qualifications
- 1+ year of Acute Care RN experience (within the last 3 years) higher acuity than Med-Surg preferred, though strong Med-Surg candidates will be considered.
- Florida RN License or Compact RN License (compact license holders must obtain a FL license within 60 days of relocation).
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required.
- Certifications:
- BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire
- ACLS within 30 days of hire
- TNCC or CCRN within 1 year of hire

- Nights (Rotating Weekends)
Compensation & Incentives
- Salary Range:
- Min: $30.60/hr
- Mid: $38.25/hr (8 years of experience)
- Max: $45.90/hr (17+ years of experience)
- Shift Differentials:
- Nights: +$4.25/hr
- Weekends: +$3.00/hr
- Sign-On Bonus:
- $10,000 for Days
- $15,000 for Nights
- Relocation Assistance: Case-by-Case
