Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our ICU RN, you will help critically ill patients requiring complex medical interventions and continuous oversight by providing exceptional, high-acuity nursing care, closely monitoring conditions, and administering prescribed medications and treatments so they can receive the vital support necessary to stabilize and achieve optimal clinical outcomes.
Every day you will work directly in the Intensive Care Unit, managing the complex needs of critically ill individuals. You will be expected to rapidly assess changing patient statuses, collaborate closely with physicians, and execute precise, life‑saving interventions in a high‑stakes environment.
To be successful in this role, you must possess strong critical‑thinking and clinical reasoning skills, thrive under pressure in a fast‑paced environment, and maintain a compassionate, patient‑centered focus during high‑stress medical situations.
- Assesses plans and implements nursing care while ensuring patient comfort
- Anticipates identifies and responds to informational and emotional needs of patients and families
- Guides and directs healthcare personnel (. Patient Care Technicians) in caring for patients
- Maintains knowledge of equipment setup maintenance and use (. IV pumps monitoring equipment and drainage devices) Utilizes safeguards such as IV pump drug library and monitor alarms with necessary
- Initiates emergency support measures (. cardiopulmonary resuscitation protecting patient from injury)
- Assists with patient care duties/tasks (. emptying drainage devices ambulating and hygiene)

Job Requirements
Required
- Associate's degree of Nursing or foreign equivalent
- Critical care competency exam passing grade or successful completion of assigned online AACN Critical Care curriculum within one (1) year
- One (1) year acute care RN experience
- Valid compact state or Arizona RN license
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification
- Demonstrates competency in basic EKG skills by passing EKG test or successfully completing basic EKG class/modules within six (6) months Preferred
- Bachelor's degree of Nursing or foreign equivalent
- Two (2) years of ICU RN experience
