AXG is partnering with an established independent power producer to recruit an Instrumentation, Controls & Electrical Technician for its plant maintenance team.
This opportunity will suit a hands-on technician who enjoys troubleshooting, takes pride in reliable equipment, and brings strong controls capability alongside instrumentation and electrical experience.
Your work will include:
- Troubleshooting DCS/PLC systems and field equipment.
- Calibrating instruments, transmitters, and control valves.
- Maintaining electrical equipment and supporting plant repairs.
- Completing preventive maintenance, work orders, and technical records.
- Supporting planned outages and emergency maintenance.
We’re looking for
- At least four years of relevant experience in power generation, utilities, or marine propulsion.
- Strong practical controls troubleshooting.
- Working instrumentation and electrical knowledge.
- A disciplined approach to safety and a collaborative, proactive mindset.
- A high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license.
- GE Mark V, Mark VIe, or Emerson Ovation experience.
Candidates with transferable PLC or other DCS experience are also encouraged to connect.
