Responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of the IBM z/OS operating system, the full-time remote IBM z/OS Systems Programmer will ensure the stability and performance of critical banking applications while leading complex technical initiatives and mentoring junior staff. Key responsibilities Install, configure, and support IBM z/OS operating systems and related software in production and non-production environments Lead technical efforts for enterprise mainframe infrastructure, including upgrades, migrations, and service implementations Monitor system health and performance, investigating and resolving complex system incidents while recommending improvements Required qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience supporting IBM z/OS operating systems in a large enterprise environment Experience with SMP/E for software maintenance and lifecycle management Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose complex system issues Experience reading and interpreting technical documentation and diagnostic information Proven ability to mentor and train less experienced technical staff
