Airswift is seeking an experienced I&C Design Engineer with a strong background in digital control and data acquisition systems, distributed I&C platforms, Operator Aid Computer, plant network systems, and security computer systems. Must understand industry cyber security design requirements, computer networks, and operating systems. Requires knowledge of real-time/data acquisition/control systems, including hardware, software, and interfaces. Ability to
read Plant Drawings (Control Wiring Diagrams, One-line diagrams, Logic Diagrams) and work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Review and produce engineering deliverables such as Engineering Change Base docs, Equipment Database records, Electrical Elementary Diagrams, Connection Diagrams, Wiretabs, Bill of Materials, and Cable Cards.
- Prepare and check design packages, specifications, calculations, and technical evaluations.
- Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), including procedure reviews and test observations.
- Collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders for technical evaluations and design reviews.
- Analyze engineering risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Provide updates to project managers and leadership.
- Support construction and implementation phases by resolving field changes and addressing technical issues.
Requirements
- Strong background in Electrical, Computer, or I&C Engineering.
- Design Qualification (must be clearly reflected on CV).
- Ability to obtain unescorted nuclear access (background screening, fingerprinting, training/testing).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with digital control systems, DCS, PLCs, and advanced control system monitoring.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and take ownership of assigned tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of the Standard Design Process.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- A valid U.S. Professional Engineer (PE) license may substitute for degree.
