Hydraulic Hose Technician & Counter AssociateWilliston ND - Williston, ND 58802OverviewPosition Type Full Time Job Shift Day Education Level High School Travel Percentage NoneDescriptionSummary of Position:This position is a hybrid between Hydraulic Hose Technician and Counter Associate. This position receives inbound phone calls and walk-in customer inquiries, documenting accounts and submitting orders in a professional manner. Work independently with limited or no supervision at times, have a solid understanding of basic computer tasks including typing.

This role demands strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Diagnose and repair issues with hydraulic systems and responsible for running hydraulics shop processes. This role performs a high standard of work and quality that is often time sensitive.

Ideal applicants may have prior experience as a Parts Specialist, or worked at a parts counter in the past.Pay: Hourly - Based on ExperienceRoles and Responsibilities:Assist telephone and walk-in customersUnderstanding and utilizing catalog to assist customers in part selectionInitiating customer orders and counter orders through ERPCash, credit, and check processingSupporting Hose Technicians as needed to fulfill ordersVarious inventory control tasks including paperwork and computer driven transactionsIdentify customer needsMeet and/or exceed monthly customer experience goalsNavigate through multiple computer programs with speed and accuracyWork with customers to resolve all inquiriesDisplay good work ethicMaintain professionalism in the work placePerform any other assigned proprietary dutiesQualificationsQualifications and Requirements:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)Must be able to type more than 50 WPM (will complete short typing test upon onsite interview)Compassionate and patient customer service skillsHigh attention to detailActive listening skillsProlonged standing, walking, stooping, bending, lifting – 100% daily (subject to change daily)Assist in lifting, pushing, and/or pulling up to 50 lbs. in adherence with Midwest Hose Safety StandardsAbility to learn and think quicklyEnergetic, outgoing, and positive attitudeGood organization skillsReliable and dependableTeam-playerAbility to prioritize and manage timeRegularly required to talk and listen; sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and armsMust be able to meet the physical demands typical in a warehouse environment including but not limited to grasping and fine manipulations with hands, reaching, squatting, climbing, activities working around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, exposure to light dust and fumes.Commitment to work additional hours as neededInspect and diagnose overall condition of machinesRun hydraulics shop effectively and efficientlyProvide maintenance on hydraulic systemsSelect and use proper tools and equipment for each taskDiagnose and repair issues with hydraulic systemsDocument actions by completing production and quality formsMaintain safe and clean work environmentPerform any other assigned proprietary dutiesEducation and Experience:High School diploma or GED (required)Customer service experience (highly preferred but not required)Prior hose & fitting experience (required)Forklift experience (preferred but not required)Additional power equipment experience (preferred but not required)About Us:Midwest Hose is one of the largest hose and fitting wholesale distributors in North America.
