Oracle Database Developer With Gis ExperienceLocation: Washington, DC (Hybrid)We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Developer to join an Agile/Scrum team supporting the development and maintenance of a telecommunications-focused, web-based Operational Support System (OSS). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing Oracle databases while supporting GIS-enabled applications and enterprise database modernization initiatives.A key responsibility of this role will be assisting with the migration of an existing Oracle 11g database to Oracle 19c while ensuring uninterrupted functionality of the current application. The position also involves working with spatial data, GIS technologies, and integrating Oracle databases with Microsoft SQL Server-based applications.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 6 years of overall IT experience qualifying for a journeyman-level position. 3+ years of Oracle Database Development experience. 2+ years of Database Administration experience. 2+ years of experience with Oracle Spatial, spatial queries, and geometry objects.
Experience developing SQL and PL/SQL objects including stored procedures, triggers, packages, and functions.
Experience creating and maintaining relational data models and Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs).
Experience with Oracle database performance tuning and troubleshooting.
Experience integrating Oracle databases with Microsoft SQL Server.
Experience using Git or other version control systems. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams.Preferred Qualifications:Experience migrating Oracle databases from Oracle 11g to Oracle 19c.
Experience with ESRI GIS products such as: ArcGIS Server ArcGIS Pro ArcSDE Experience supporting GIS-based enterprise applications.
Experience leading technical initiatives and ensuring adherence to development standards. Telecommunications, utilities, or infrastructure domain experience is a plus.
