Commercial HVAC/Field Service Technician

HVAC Team Lead / Lead TechnicianOur client, an established and growing company in the Fort Wayne area, is seeking a hands-on HVAC Team Lead to support field operations and guide a small team of technicians. This is a working lead role—you'll remain active in the field while helping mentor others and support day-to-day service operations. The work is primarily commercial and job-site based, offering variety beyond traditional residential service calls.Key Responsibilities:Perform HVAC troubleshooting, service, and repair in commercial/job-site environmentsLead and support a team of 1–3 technicians in the fieldWork with Corporate location in Fort Wayne Shop Manager and Office ManagerDiagnose electrical controls using a multi-meterRead and interpret wiring diagrams and schematicsAssist with training and mentoring less experienced techniciansCoordinate with internal teams to ensure efficient job completionSupport resolution of more complex service issuesQualifications:3+ years of HVAC experience (service or install)Strong troubleshooting skills (electrical experience preferred)Ability to work independently in the fieldInterest in leadership or mentoring othersValid driver's licenseHourly Wage: $32.00 to $38.00, PTO and benefits available; professional developmentImportant: This role is best suited for a mid-level technician ready to step into leadership.
