HVAC Facility TechnicianMontgomery, TexasLocation: Montgomery, TXFLSA: Non-ExemptStatus: Full-timeReports to: Chief EngineerPay Range: $20 - $25/HRJob Summary: The HVAC Service Technician supports the hotel's engineering and maintenance operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role ensures optimal HVAC performance across all areas of the property, contributing to a safe, comfortable, and efficient environment for guests and team members.Essential Functions and Duties:Provide professional and courteous service at all timesInstall, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, furnaces, boilers, exhaust fans, and ventilation systemsConduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure systems operate efficiently and meet manufacturer and brand standardsMonitor and adjust system controls, thermostats, and building automation systems as neededDiagnose mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC systems and perform corrective repairs promptlyPractice safety procedures including lockout-tagout in accordance with OSHA and property-specific protocolsMaintain logs of inspections, repairs, refrigerant usage, and equipment performanceRespond to temperature complaints and HVAC-related service requests from guests or departments in a timely mannerCollaborate with the Chief Engineer to prioritize tasks and communicate repair needsEnsure all HVAC-related work areas and tools are kept clean, organized, and safeSupport other maintenance functions as needed, including emergency response situationsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.Required Experience, Education, and Skills:Working knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, and tools used in installation and repairEPA Section 608 Certification requiredAbility to read blueprints, technical manuals, and schematicsStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in diagnostics and repairFamiliarity with safety procedures and HVAC codes/regulationsExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and respond quickly to urgent situationsWork Environment:Work involves both indoor and outdoor environments, with exposure to heat, cold, and changing weather conditionsFrequent standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, and lifting of items up to 50 lbsExposure to noise, electrical systems, pressurized equipment, and moving mechanical partsMust be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required, with potential on-call responsibilities for emergenciesEqual Employment Opportunity: Stonebridge is committed to equal employment opportunities.
