Commercial HVAC EstimatorTrueline is seeking a Commercial HVAC Estimator to join their onsite team in Phoenix, Arizona, near Sky Harbor Airport with a well-established HVAC manufacturer's representative serving commercial mechanical contractors across the Southwest. This role is ideal for an experienced HVAC estimator who enjoys detailed plan-and-spec work, managing a steady bid volume, and supporting sales within a collaborative, team-oriented environment.What You'll Do as the Commercial HVAC Estimator:Review commercial construction drawings, mechanical plans, and technical specificationsPerform detailed HVAC and airside material takeoffsPrepare accurate equipment quotations for commercial mechanical projectsPrice HVAC equipment, ventilation products, and related mechanical systemsManage multiple active bids while meeting submission deadlinesSupport sales representatives throughout the estimating and quotation processPrepare internal follow-up documentation for active bids and quoted projectsCoordinate with sales, operations, and other internal departmentsMaintain organized estimating files, pricing records, and bid documentationCommunicate clearly with customers and internal stakeholdersIdentify scope gaps, pricing issues, and missing information before quotations are submittedSupport commercial projects ranging from approximately $1,000 to $250,000Must-Haves as the Commercial HVAC Estimator:3+ years of commercial HVAC or mechanical estimating experienceExperience reading commercial construction drawings and specificationsExperience performing HVAC takeoffs and preparing project estimates or quotationsStrong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and mechanical constructionAbility to price equipment and material for plan-and-spec projectsStrong computer skillsExcellent organization and time managementAbility to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneouslyStrong written and verbal communication skillsStable work historyCollaborative and team-oriented approachAbility to work onsite in PhoenixNice-to-Haves as the Commercial HVAC Estimator:Experience working for a commercial mechanical contractorExperience working for an HVAC manufacturer's representativeKnowledge of commercial air distribution and ventilation productsExisting familiarity with the Phoenix mechanical construction marketExperience supporting sales teams during the bidding processKnowledge of manufacturers such as Price Industries, Loren Cook, Pottorff, Luxaire, Qmark, CaptiveAire, Samsung HVAC, Fantech, Western Vents, AboveAir, Carel, Big Ass Fans, FabricAir, Seiho, or Gas Detection SystemsExperience preparing quotations for projects ranging from small equipment packages to larger commercial HVAC scopesThis Position Offers:Target hiring range of $65,000-$85,000Health insurance for employees and eligible family members after 90 days401(k) eligibility after 90 daysCompany match equal to 50% of employee contributions, up to $1,500 annuallyTwo weeks of paid time off after one year, prorated based on start dateStable, office-based scheduleSupportive and relaxed team environmentGrowing project volume and long-term career stabilityOpportunity to join an established Phoenix estimating teamResponsive interview process with fast feedbackTrueline is an unabashed equal-opportunity employer committed to a diverse workforce.
