to lead our growing HVAC division. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations, including installation teams, service technicians, scheduling, customer satisfaction, quality control, and departmental performance.
The ideal candidate is a proven leader with extensive HVAC management experience and a passion for building high-performing teams. They will work closely with executive leadership to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards while driving continuous improvement throughout the department.
Work Location
This position oversees HVAC operations across Southern California. While travel to various job sites is required, the ideal candidate should be able to
regularly commute to our Sylmar office
for team meetings, operational planning, staff management, and day-to-day oversight. Candidates should reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Sylmar.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all HVAC operations, including installation and service departments.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of HVAC installers, service technicians, dispatchers, and support staff.
- Oversee daily scheduling and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with company quality standards.
- Monitor departmental KPIs, productivity, profitability, callback rates, and customer satisfaction metrics.
- Recruit, hire, train, coach, and retain top-performing HVAC professionals.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures and best practices.
- Coordinate with sales, project management, warehouse, and executive leadership to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to improve employee performance.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, local building codes, and company safety policies.
- Resolve escalated customer concerns professionally and effectively.
- Manage inventory, equipment utilization, fleet coordination, and departmental resources.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and increase profitability.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience managing HVAC teams in a leadership role (required).
- 7+ years of overall HVAC industry experience preferred.
- California C-20 Warm-Air Heating, Ventilating, and Air-Conditioning License: Must be active, in good standing with the CSLB, and eligible to qualify the company as the Responsible Managing Employee (RME).
- Demonstrated success managing installation crews, service technicians, scheduling, and daily departmental operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with HVAC scheduling, dispatch, and field service management software.
- Thorough knowledge of residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
- Strong understanding of HVAC codes, permits, and safety regulations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Experience recruiting, developing, and leading high-performing teams.
- Must be able to regularly commute to our Sylmar office.
- Willingness to travel to job sites throughout Southern California as needed.
- Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.
