HVAC Department Manager

American Home Pros is looking for an experienced HVAC leader to take ownership of our service and installation operations and build a department capable of performing at a high level for years to come.

This is not a position for someone who wants to spend every day running service calls. It is a leadership role for someone who wants to develop people, improve processes, strengthen installation quality and build a long-term career with a locally owned company.

Base Salary: $90,000–$110,000 plus performance bonus

American Home Pros is looking for an experienced HVAC leader to take ownership of our service and installation operations and build a department capable of performing at a high level for years to come.

This is not a position for someone who wants to spend every day running service calls. It is a leadership role for someone who wants to develop people, improve processes, strengthen installation quality and build a long-term career with a locally owned company.

What You Will Own

• Leadership of HVAC service technicians and installation crews
• Hiring, onboarding, coaching, accountability and performance management
• Technical support and escalation for difficult field situations
• Installation quality, callbacks, property protection, cleanup, required photos and customer walkthroughs
• Department SOPs, training systems and operating processes
• Department scorecards, labor performance and operating P&L
• Improvement of equipment opportunities generated through the service department
• Escalated customer concerns and recovery decisions
• Consistent execution and accountability within ServiceTitan
• Reducing routine HVAC problems that currently require owner involvement

Our office team handles dispatching, scheduling and customer communication. Our warehouse and field coordinator handles equipment ordering, job staging, permits and material support. You will provide direction and accountability while remaining focused on building the department.

The Right Person

You may be a strong HVAC service manager ready for broader responsibility, or an experienced technical leader who has directly managed service technicians and coordinated installation crews.

You should bring:

• Strong residential HVAC technical knowledge
• Direct experience managing and developing service technicians
• Experience coordinating or supervising HVAC installations
• The ability to hold people accountable without losing their respect
• Working knowledge of departmental financials, labor performance and KPIs
• A track record of improving quality, reducing callbacks and building processes
• Comfort making decisions and taking ownership without constant direction
• ServiceTitan experience preferred
• An appropriate Oklahoma HVAC license or the ability to obtain it after hiring

What This Opportunity Offers

You will report directly to the company president and have real authority to shape how the HVAC department operates. Sales management will remain with the president for now, allowing you to concentrate on technical leadership, people development, installation execution, quality and operational performance.
