HVAC Controls Programming SpecialistYearout Mechanical, LLC is seeking a highly experienced HVAC Controls Programming Specialist to support our capital projects team. This role is responsible for reviewing subcontractor programming, supporting commissioning efforts, and troubleshooting building automation and mechanical control systems.
The role supports project execution from estimate review through completion and ensures systems meet safety, quality, and performance standards.Key ResponsibilitiesClient & Stakeholder EngagementPartner with owners to define expectations and performance criteriaProvide technical guidance to clients and project teamsServe as key contact for coordination and issue resolutionMaintain relationships with owners and stakeholdersDesign, Technical, or Operational ExecutionReview HVAC control system designs and sequences of operationReview subcontractor BAS programming platforms (Niagara, Distech, JCI, Siemens)Support system startup, commissioning, and testingTroubleshoot system performance and integration issuesProject & Cross-Discipline CoordinationCoordinate with mechanical, electrical, and TAB teamsAssist with subcontractor scope and negotiationsSupport estimating and scheduling tasksDocumentation & CommunicationMaintain documentation such as as-builts and reportsCommunicate project updates and technical detailsLeadership & Resource ManagementProvide technical guidance to project teamsSupport alignment of work with schedules and quality standardsDesired Skills and Experience5+ years HVAC controls experience (7-10 preferred)Experience managing BAS/DDC projectsStrong blueprint reading skillsStrong communication and problem-solving abilityAdditional NotesLocation: Albuquerque, NMEmployment Type: Full-Time, ExemptTravel: 10–15%About LegenceLegence (Nasdaq: LGN) is a leading provider of engineering, consulting, installation, and maintenance services for mission-critical systems in buildings.
