Snapshot / Role Overview:
We're seeking an HVAC Chiller Technician in the Phoenix Metro, AZ area to diagnose, repair, and maintain large commercial chillers and related central plant equipment.
Impact:
- Keep large cooling plants online through accurate diagnosis and timely repair.
- Extend chiller life with disciplined preventive maintenance and oil analysis.
- Reduce energy waste by tuning plant performance and controls.
- Build customer confidence that supports long-term service agreements.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance on centrifugal, screw, and scroll chillers.
- Diagnose refrigeration, electrical, and control failures in central plants.
- Complete compressor, tube, and component repairs to factory standards.
- Recover, recharge, and manage refrigerant in line with regulations.
- Test water flow, temperatures, and pressures to verify plant performance.
- Document service findings and recommend corrective work.
- Coordinate with dispatch, parts, and customers on job progress.
- Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and PPE use.
