This Human Services Program Consultant I position with the Department of Health's HIV/AIDS program in Area 8 (Lee, Charlotte, and Hendry/Glades Counties) is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining surveillance and investigation activities for HIV/AIDS cases and perinatally exposed babies. The role involves providing technical assistance to county health departments, compiling and analyzing surveillance data, investigating incomplete cases, and coordinating with medical institutions and community organizations to ensure accurate case reporting and linkage to care.

Key qualifications:

• Knowledge of HIV/AIDS principles, practices, and basic epidemiology
• Skill in operating personal computers and software applications
• Ability to compile, organize, and analyze data for surveillance and evaluation
• Ability to plan, organize, coordinate work assignments and communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse organizations and stakeholders
