Operating with multiple shifts and a diverse employee base, the company is looking to enhance its HR capabilities to support strategic growth, labor relations, and operational efficiency.About the RoleAs HR Manager, you will lead the full spectrum of HR functions at the plant level—overseeing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. This role calls for a proactive leader who can foster a culture of accountability, ensure adherence to labor laws (including union or shift-based environments), and partner with site leadership to drive employee engagement and retention.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily HR operations across manufacturing shifts: recruiting, onboarding/offboarding, benefits administration, leave management, and performance processesAct as the primary HR business partner to site leaders, guiding on HR policies, labor relations, conflict resolution, performance coaching, and employee investigationsLead campus or plant recruitment efforts to fill both hourly and salaried roles, including unionized or multi-shift staffingDevelop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and internal controls in accordance with federal, state, and local regulationsManage employee relations, including investigations, conflict mitigation, and disciplinary actions as neededCoordinate training initiatives, performance management, and leadership development programsMonitor HR metrics and trends, prepare and deliver regular reporting on turnover, engagement, and compliancePartner with compensation & benefits and payroll teams to ensure accurate, timely execution and budget alignmentEnsure audit readiness and compliance with labor laws, union agreements, and safety regulationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field5+ years of progressive HR experience in manufacturing, industrial, or plant environments—shift-based or union experience a strong plusDemonstrated ability in employee relations, investigations, and performance managementStrong knowledge of labor laws and compliance regulations at federal, state, and local levelsExcellent communication and conflict-resolution skills, with credibility across all organizational levelsExperience with HRIS, applicant tracking systems, and HR metricsProven track record as a strategic partner and hands-on HR leader
