Role Description The Human Resources Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY, responsible for overseeing HR operations and supporting employees and leaders across the location. This role manages recruitment and onboarding processes, coordinates workforce planning, and ensures consistent application of HR policies and procedures. The Human Resources Manager provides guidance on employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution, while promoting a positive, inclusive workplace culture. They collaborate with management on compensation reviews, benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws and company standards. The role also involves maintaining HR records, analyzing HR metrics, leading training initiatives, and partnering with corporate HR to implement organizational programs and change management activities.
Qualifications
  • Strong expertise in core HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, and policy administration.
  • Experience in recruitment and talent acquisition, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding processes.
  • Knowledge of employment law, labor regulations, and HR compliance best practices, particularly in New York.
  • Ability to develop and execute HR strategies that support workforce planning, organizational development, and change management.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, reporting tools, and data analysis to support decision-making and HR metrics tracking.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to build trust across all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated capability in training, coaching, and supporting leaders and employees on HR processes and workplace practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
  • Experience as an HR generalist or HR manager in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment; exposure to agribusiness or energy sectors is a plus.
