Identify opportunities for growth and development and provide a clear plan in bridging those gapsAbility to engage at all levels of the organization and be a strong contributing team memberPartner closely with managers and operational leaders to address workforce challenges, resolve employee relations issues, and support effective decision-makingHas substantial experience utilizing multiple HRIS cloud-based systems; is a proactive, fast learner who quickly adapts to new technologies and effectively trains team members on system functionalityCounsel and guide leadership to take appropriate corrective actions, as needed, including coaching, disciplinary steps, and performance improvement plansAudit payroll documents, ensuring accuracy of payroll entriesOversee onboarding, training and orientation process. HR Manager is responsible for ensuring a smooth transition into the organizationActively identify gaps, propose and implement changes necessary to cover risks for the companyAnticipate, identify, intervene, and resolve issues. Conduct investigations of employee concerns and issues, as needed, and ensure timely and responsible resolutionConsult with hiring leaders on the appropriate staffing strategies, recruiting, screening, selection and referralsGain ongoing employee feedback, assess issues and resolutions, analyze data, and make recommendations to the HR Director on policy and process changes, enhancements, and clarifications aimed at improved HR efficiencyActively participate in performance assessment and improvement processes up to and including Document and monitor performance improvement plans and related execution with managers and employees. Provide coaching and guidance to management and employees for resolution of employee concerns and respond to employee and management inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs. Document disciplinary conversations and secure related documentation in corporate and HRIS networksParticipate in special projects such as SPI initiatives, engagement surveys, training and development, performance managementProvide support to Manufacturing in the areas of safety and conflict resolutionSupport and advise management with respect to fair labor standards (federal and state) and occupational safety as well as legal compliance in the areas interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, workplace behavior and performance reviewMaintain confidentiality in employee matters and respond appropriately, representing the HR and Alene Candles in a positive and professional mannerAbility to lead and develop teamStrong collaboration and communication skillsAbility to influence results and problem solveDependability and confidentiality a mustStrong interpersonal and organizational skillsAccuracy under pressureHonesty and integrity; demonstrates outstanding work ethicMaintain current, relevant technical and legal knowledge needed to perform and innovate in role4 Year Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is requiredSHRM or HRCI Certification preferred8-10 years' experience within the field of Human Resources, including manufacturing HR experienceMinimum five years' experience leading an HR TeamWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or touch; reach, talk, hear and smell.
