Student Intern OpportunityPlacer County currently has two (2) vacancies for a Student Intern to work in the Human Resources Department. These vacancies are located in the Workforce Optimization Division and the Talent Acquisition & Department Support Division.The Workforce Optimization Division consists of multiple teams. The ADA/Leaves Administration team is responsible for disability management which includes the interactive process for reasonable accommodations, leaves of absence administration, and retirement activities. This team is currently reviewing recently approved legislative updates and modifying existing brochures and policies for various impacted areas.
The Safety Team oversees the Workers Compensation program, Safety program, Department of Transportation drug and alcohol program, and COVID-19 protocols. This team is spearheading a project to update county wide safety policies which includes creating and/or updating protocols and trainings. Work hours are limited to no more than 28 hours per week and cannot exceed a maximum of 1,000 hours per fiscal year.
