Manager, Employee Relations - UDXThe Manager, Employee Relations & Investigations - Universal Destinations & Experiences will thoroughly and expeditiously investigate Team Member concerns in a fair, unbiased, and consistent manner. The ideal candidate will need to have significant experience operating in a fast-paced and guest-facing environment and possess a strong investigative skill set working in Union and Non-Union organizations. We're seeking innovative solution seekers, natural collaborators, Team Member advocates, and culture architects to enable our Teams, partners, and business to do and be their best.Responsibilities include:Conducting in-depth interviews and investigations of highly sensitive and complex allegationsDeveloping and implementing standardized processes for conducting investigations and tracking employee relations claims and casesAnalyzing aggregate casework data to identify issue trends and opportunities for proactive issue mitigationPartnering in analysis and revision of Team Member programs, policies, and practices to sustain a positive work environmentProviding counseling, advice, and guidance to Management and HR business partners in dealing with complex or sensitive employee relations issuesQualifications:Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or related field requiredExtensive knowledge of applicable state and federal employment and labor laws and governmental compliance requirements5+ years of increasingly responsible Human Resources generalist experience, including experience with employee relations processes/activities3+ years of experience handling complicated employee investigations and collaborating with legal counsel to document and ensure timely resolutions with investigationsSolid communication and interpersonal skillsExceptional prioritization and time management skillsAbility to work independentlyExcellent critical thinking and problem-solving skillsSensitive to deadlines and able to work on multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to maintain strict confidentialityAdvanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPointReasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functionsConsistent attendance is a job requirementDesired Characteristics:Advanced degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or related fieldDemonstrated ability to drive HR processes and to deliver high-quality HR services in a fast-paced, high-change, matrixed environmentProven facilitation, influencing, and conflict resolution skillsDemonstrates vertical flexibility - ability to shift focus from big picture to "getting things done" as necessaryExperience with a case database, such as Oracle, CaseIQ, or iSightExperience in union/represented environments or the hospitality industry is highly preferredAbility to develop integrated solutions from inception to post-delivery assessmentOccasional flexibility with working weekends and holidays, if needed
