Our new employees experience opportunities to learn and grow while caring for their families, friends and neighbors.IMC is currently hiring a Human Resources (HR) Generalist, who is responsible for a range of duties related to Human Resources and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: onboarding, employee changes, leave of absence administration, benefits and compensation administration, employee relations, policy administration, and performance management.

The HR Generalist serves as a primary point of contact for HR-related inquires and manages majority of HRIS tasks.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:Provide excellent customer service when managing HR email address and incoming calls as primary contact for HR inquiries,Administer leave of absences, including FMLA, ADA and other applicable regulationsAdminister multiple benefits programs, including LA state parochial retirement planAdminister other various HR processes and programs for all employeesAssist in the enforcement of company policies and procedures consistently across the hospitalLead and/or assist with company-wide HR events and initiativesManage all data timely and accurately in the HRISAssist employees and managers in answer questions related to any and all areas of Human Resources (compensation, benefits, employee relations, training, systems, etc)Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and programsAssist HR leadership with special projects, as needed by departmental goalsSupports and implements the organization's vision, mission and values.Complies with organizational policies and procedures.Performs all other duties as assigned.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related field preferredAt least two (2) years of human resources experience requiredPrevious HR experience in a healthcare/hospital setting preferredHRCI and/or SHRM certification preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):Proficiency in using computers, software and web-based applications, including but not limited to Microsoft office suiteProficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HCM and other associated software applicationsKnowledge of benefits regulations, plan designs and compliant administrationKnowledge of local, state and federal laws involving employment, HR and benefitsEffective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels throughout the organizationStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to organize and prioritize work with minimum supervision.Ability to perform most essential job duties independently and exercise good judgmentMust be a self-starterFlexible, detail-oriented, and multi-task effectivelyAbility to maintain the highest level of confidentialityCompetitive Benefits:Great medical benefit planParticipation in robust state pension planDental, vision, life insurance, disability and more!Iberia Medical Center provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
