HR GeneralistWe are looking for an HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team. This entry-level position is ideal for a professional with some HR experience looking to develop their career in human resources. You will support multiple HR functions including policy enforcement, timesheet management, employee relations, and other essential HR operations. Reporting directly to the HR Business Services Manager you will support performance management processes while coordinating training programs and assist with benefits administration and enrollment for the site.Key ResponsibilitiesHelp implement and monitor compliance with company proceduresSupport policy communication programs and employee training programsEnsure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulationsReview and process employee timesheets for accuracy and completenessHelp with payroll preparation and coordinate with payroll vendorsAddress timesheet discrepancies and work with employees to resolve issuesMaintain accurate records of employee hours, overtime, and leave timeProvide first-level support for employee inquiries and concernsHelp conduct workplace investigations under guidanceSupport conflict resolution and mediation effortsHelp maintain positive employee relations through multiple HR programsHelp with recruitment and onboarding processesMaintain employee files and HR databasesSupport performance management processesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field2-4 years of experience in HR, administrative, or related fieldExperience with HR principles and best practicesKnowledge of employment laws and regulationsExperience with HRIS systems preferredPHR, SHRM-CP, or other HR certification (or willingness to pursue)Experience with specific HRIS platforms (ADP, Workday, Ceridian)Previous experience in policy development or complianceBilingual capabilities (specify languages)Annual Salary Range: $57,200 – $85,400 USDPPG: WE PROTECT AND BEAUTIFY THE WORLD™Through leadership in innovation, sustainability and color, PPG helps customers in industrial, transportation, consumer products, and construction markets and aftermarkets to enhance more surfaces in more ways than does any other company.
