Human Resources Generalist IILocation: Baltimore, MDDuration: 06 MonthsWe are seeking an efficient Human Resources Generalist to facilitate daily HR functions to include, execution of payroll application, employee records and retention, Workday administration and other administrative HR related tasks.Human Resource Generalist Responsibilities May Include But Are Not Limited To:Support the Payroll Process:Handle all client payroll administrative functions in WorkdaySubject matter expert for the researching, troubleshooting, and resolving payroll processing errors and escalations.Updates the payroll system with all Employee related, add new hires, terminations, etc. Reviews employee payroll information for accuracyReconciliation and verification of on-cycle, off cycle, and retro payroll data, and payroll file maintenanceRecords Management and Retention:Create and update client’s e-filing system for employee records, HR policies and procedures and other related documentsEnsure files are maintained and updated with proper documentation.SharePoint Development:Assist with updating the Human Capital SharePoint siteEnsure access to the site is based on confidentiality mandates to safeguard company informationSupport revisions and customization of Human Capital SharePoint siteWorkday Administration:Responsible for all Workday system administration responsibilitiesServe as a primary resource for client HR Workday entries, maintenance implementation and training.Primary POC for client HR design, build, and support testing of Workday integration code in collaboration with client.HR Support:Provide support to client HRBPPrepare presentations and deliver information to customers, managers and community leaders.Required Skills, Knowledge and AbilitiesKnowledge of Workday payroll systemsKnowledge of standard office practices, procedures, systems and equipmentKnowledge of automated office systems and word processing softwareAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with City employees, management and the publicAbility to understand, interpret and apply human resources policies and proceduresAbility to deal with a variety of situations and problems under specified time constraintsAbility to prepare and maintain human resource records, forms and filesAbility to answer inquiries regarding human resources mattersAbility to maintain confidentiality for all human resource related activitiesAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and the general publicAbility to communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, and the general publicMinimum Education and Experience RequirementsRequirements – A bachelor’s degree degree from an accredited college or university and one year of experience in human resource administrationEquivalencies –Equivalent combination of education and experience to include knowledge of automated office systems, demonstrated organization skills, process improvement skills, database management and dealing with a variety of situations under time constraints.
