BrainWorks is partnering with a Washington DC based organization to identify an HR Director who will serve as a strategic HR leader and trusted advisor to organizational leadership.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the HR Director will oversee an HR team while leading key people initiatives across the organization. This individual will play a critical role in employee relations, performance management, talent management, and leadership coaching, helping the organization continue to evolve its people practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary HR partner for leaders across the organization, providing guidance on employee relations and workplace issues.
- Coach managers on performance management, employee development, and difficult conversations.
- Drive talent management initiatives, including succession planning and career development.
- Partner with leadership to strengthen organizational effectiveness and enhance the employee experience.
- Support and continuously improve performance management processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree and/or HR certification preferred
- Human Resources leadership experience, including experience leading HR teams.
- Strong background in employee relations, performance management, and talent management.
- Demonstrated success coaching and influencing leaders at multiple levels.
- Experience implementing or improving talent and succession planning initiatives.
