Onsite Full Time General

Our client is a globally renowned entertainment company with reach across sports and entertainment. It has a strong creative identity and runs as a standalone business, supporting talent and executives in a fast paced, personality driven environment. They're hiring a Director of Human Resources to lead the people function end to end.

Reporting directly to the CFO, the HR Director will be both the strategic people leader and a hands on operator, owning the full HR agenda from executive partnership and culture through to benefits, employee relations, and HR operations. This is not a purely strategic seat. You'll be deeply involved in day to day execution while also shaping long term people strategy for a high visibility, creative business.

The ideal candidate is a true HR generalist who has already led the HR function for a standalone business or SME, or a hands on leader from a larger organization who enjoys building, improving, and owning processes rather than just maintaining them. Entertainment experience isn't required, but comfort navigating big personalities, senior leadership, and a creative culture is essential.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with executive leadership to align HR strategy with business goals
  • Drive headcount planning, benchmarking, and job leveling
  • Improve and scale HR processes while maintaining agility
  • Oversee compensation frameworks, incentive plans, and benefits programs
  • Lead the annual benefits renewal and open enrollment process
  • Manage HRIS and payroll systems, including Workday and ADP
  • Act as the escalation point for employee relations matters and investigations
  • Foster an inclusive, high performance workplace culture
  • Oversee recruiting across corporate functions
  • Build out performance management, career development, and succession planning
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws
  • Advise leadership on HR risk, policy, and ethical considerations
  • Lead and develop a lean HR team of two direct reports, setting priorities, structure, and operating rhythm

What You'll Need

  • Proven experience as an HR generalist who has led a full HR function, not just a single vertical
  • Hands on experience managing benefits renewals, including broker and insurer relationships
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including 5+ years managing a team
  • Comfort operating alongside executive leadership and strong personalities in a creative business environment

This is a high impact HR leadership role in a globally visible, creative organization. You won't simply administer HR, you'll shape people strategy, influence leadership decisions, and bring structure without bureaucracy. It's a strong fit for someone who wants to be the senior HR voice in the room and enjoys balancing strategy with execution in a dynamic environment.
