We're seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support key HR operations and employee programs across a dynamic, mission-driven organization that serves individuals with disabilities throughout Connecticut. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a strong foundation in Human Resources while gaining exposure to employee relations, compliance, workforce administration, labor relations, reporting, and employee engagement.As a Human Resources Coordinator, you'll play an important role in supporting employees throughout their employment journey.Employee Lifecycle SupportProcess employee status changes, promotions, transfers, resignations, and terminationsPrepare employee correspondence and separation documentationMonitor new hire onboarding and orientation completionTrack employment milestones and support HR Business Partner initiativesEmployee Relations & Labor SupportServe as a first point of contact for routine HR questionsAssist with employee communications and documentationSupport labor relations processes and grievance administrationMaintain HR resources and contact informationCompliance & AuditingMaintain employee personnel files and recordsCoordinate post-hire background checks, credentialing, and screeningsSupport compliance audits and accreditation reviewsAssist with unemployment claim responses and reportingReporting & HR OperationsPrepare HR reports and workforce metricsTrack compliance deadlines and employee notificationsSupport employee recognition and engagement initiativesAssist with special projects and department initiativesWhat We're Looking ForMinimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDStrong organizational and administrative skillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesAbility to handle confidential information with professionalismProficiency with Microsoft Office and technology systemsPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Industrial & Organizational Psychology, or a related field1-3 years of HR, administrative, customer service, or office support experienceExperience working in a unionized or multi-site environmentFamiliarity with HRIS systems such as DayforceHuman Resource New Graduates Encouraged to Apply!If you've recently earned your HR degree and are looking for an opportunity to develop your HR career, we encourage you to apply.
