Human Resources Business PartnerA respected nonprofit organization in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join their team on a contract basis. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by contributing to key HR initiatives and working closely with leadership across the organization.We are looking for a strategic and people-focused HR Business Partner to provide comprehensive HR support across multiple departments. This role serves as a trusted advisor to managers and leadership, helping align people strategies with broader organizational objectives.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in employee relations, performance management, talent development, and HR compliance.Key responsibilities include:Collaborate with organizational leaders to design and execute HR strategies that advance company goalsOffer coaching and guidance to managers on employee relations matters, performance workflows, and workforce planningSupport conversations and initiatives around compensation, benefits, learning and development, and employee retentionUphold compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws as well as internal HR policiesTrack and interpret HR data and metrics to drive informed decision-making and ongoing process improvementQualifications include:8–10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a Business Partner roleDemonstrated experience supporting employee populations of 300 or moreStrong relationship-building and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levelsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms; Workday experience preferredBachelor's degree required; SHRM certification is a plusThis is a hybrid contract position based in Washington, DC, with an expected duration of approximately 4 months.
