In this role, you'll focus on employee relations, leadership coaching, and proactive problem-solving—building the relationships and systems that keep our workforce productive, accountable, and aligned with 21HHS policies and best practices.This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on getting ahead of issues, guiding supervisors through complex people decisions, and fostering a culture where employees feel heard and supported.Location: Primarily based out of our San Jose office; up to 20% drive time to regional sites.What You'll Do:Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues through effective, thorough, and objective investigationsBuild proactive relationships with employees across your region to anticipate concerns before they escalateMaintain deep knowledge of employment law and ensure day-to-day management practices reduce legal risk and remain compliant with regulations and 21HHS policiesCoaching & Advisory:Partner with hiring managers and supervisors to provide guidance on coaching, counseling, performance management, disciplinary actions, and career developmentConduct regular check-ins with business units to stay connected to team dynamics, morale, and emerging issuesIdentify training needs and individual coaching opportunities; monitor program effectivenessBusiness Partnership:Analyze workforce trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies that improve retention, productivity, and engagementWork closely with leadership to strengthen work relationships, build morale, and support a high-performance cultureMaintain strong business literacy—understanding your region's operational priorities, culture, and competitive landscapeWhat You Bring:5–7+ years of HR experience, with proven success as an HR Business Partner—ideally in a fast-growing or startup environmentStrong employee relations background, including conducting investigations and navigating sensitive situationsAbility to interpret and apply employment laws, regulations, and company policiesTrack record of coaching managers and influencing without authorityExcellent prioritization, time management, and follow-through under shifting demandsProficiency in Google Suite and HR systems (Paylocity and Lever preferred)High discretion and confidentiality with employee informationExperience supporting a dispersed or remote workforce is a plusHealthcare or home health experience is a plusWhy you should come work for 21HHS:Opportunity for advancementRapidly growing organizationLow turnover/High moraleOutstanding benefits for you and your family including 401k with matchingGenerous PTO, Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts, Pet Insurance and more
