CooperDouglas has partnered with a fast-growing healthcare services and technology company in San Diego County to find a HR Business Partner. The company pairs clinical expertise with its own software and AI tools, is hiring at a fast clip, and is expanding into many new states over the next year. You will report to senior leadership and own the employee experience end to end: culture, engagement, communication, onboarding and the HR operations that keep a growing company compliant. A large share of the workforce is remote clinical and call center staff, and leadership wants someone who can close the distance between the front office and the people doing the work every day. This is a highly visible seat with real room to build programs your way.
What you'll do
- Be the go-to person for employees on HR questions, concerns and support, and earn trust across every team
- Design and run engagement, recognition and culture programs that work for a remote workforce, not just the people in the office
- Carry company news, policy updates and organizational changes from leadership to employees clearly, and bring honest feedback back up
- Run surveys and listening sessions, find what is hurting morale and recommend fixes
- Own onboarding and offboarding through a period of heavy hiring so every new hire starts strong
- Lead new hire orientations, company meetings, trainings and group sessions
- Build out multi-state compliance as the company starts hiring outside California, including policies, required postings and documentation
- Keep employee records clean in the HRIS and support benefits, performance management and employee relations
- Partner with call center and clinical managers on retention, performance and day-to-day people issues
- Use AI and automation to cut manual HR work and speed up workflows
What you bring
- 6+ years in HR or People Operations
- Experience supporting a large remote workforce ideally call center
- Multi-state HR compliance experience and solid working knowledge of California employment law

Compensation and logistics
$120,000 to $160,000 Depending on experience
